About Steve
I am certified to teach music in 3 states. I've been teaching since 1974. I have students ranging in age from 5 to 75. Several of my students have been selected to play in their school jazz bands, and have been singled out to play solo pieces for schoolwide concerts. They also have become adept at playing ensemble.
I help students achieve by mastering techincal skills along with musical skills, and I often incorporate ear training in my lessons.
I love seeing and hearing my students progress, and I am fiercely devoted to their success.

1. Assess the student's skill level.
2. Assign techincal exercises and piano pieces based on skill level.
3. Teaching can be like sonar: I continually provide information and see how it bounces back, in order to adjust and complement what is being taught. Every student makes individual progress at his or her own rate.
