About Heidi
Located in Becker Township in central Minnesota, Hansen House of Music offers private lessons in piano, flute and voice to students of all ages, beginners through advanced as well as preschool music classes. Students are taught by Nationally Certified Teacher of Music Heidi A. Hansen who believes in teaching each student based on his or her own personal learning style.
Lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs and incorporate elements of sightreading, theory, music history and repertoire from many different genres, therefore building a solid musical foundation which will lead to a lifetime of enjoyment in making music.
Students are encouraged to develop performance skills by participating in studio recitals, as well as contests, festivals and exams sponsored by MMTA, CMMT and the Federation of Music Clubs.
I love seeing the “aha” moments when a student catches on to something or finally masters a piece of music that has been hard for them, and watching them progress as they develop confidence in their own abilities.
I have a Bachelors degree in Vocal Music Education and a Masters Degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy
