About Heather

I service students regardless of academic and social concerns. Parents who are looking for a teacher who has had lots of experience with strugglers often send students to me. I am a pianist, but teaching is my God-given gift. Love of music is my first priority. I've been teaching piano since 1999 and have three degrees in education along with four semesters of college music theory. I also play for church masses and have experience in composition.

I love working from home and sharing the love of music with others. My families make teaching worth while, and I love watching my students grow in music. The flexibility I show with my families is reciprocated, and because of this, I have had time to spend with my own family as well.

I have 3 degrees in education and have been teaching piano since 1999. I have found that, although my education degrees are not in music, the knowledge and experience I have in those areas has helped tremendously to reach some students. One of those degrees is a masters degree in reading.

About the lesson

Beginner lessons usually start with a full lesson of getting to know the piano along with proper ways to sit and use your body when playing. After that we dive right into learning our way around the piano and playing.
