About Alyssa
I have been working with children for over 10 years. I have a passion for music and love watching the world of music open up to my students. I have been playing piano myself for 12 years and I specialize in beginner piano lessons and Christian music. I enjoy finding out hat motivates my students to succeed to provide individual instruction that works for each individual.
I had a friend ask if I would teach piano to her two boys. Since then, I have picked up more students through word of mouth and Starlight Music Lessons.
I have taken piano lessons on and off for 12 years. I am actually still taking lessons myself because I believe there is always more you can learn. I also took Music theory classes in college. I teach for Starlight Music Lessons as well and have completed their employee training.

Wwe can discuss through phone or email what the student’s goals are for learning piano. We will also discuss price, needed equipment, and where the student would prefer to hold lessons. I have a stock of several books to use for the first lesson and we will get books purchased after we have decided which books would work best for the student. I stay in contact with the student and/or the student’s parents especially through the first week to be available to answer any questions.
I’ve worked with students ages 4-45. I’ve had a couple of autistic students. Some of my students are homeschooled and others are working moms. I enjoy getting to know each of my students!

Details
I typically charge $15 for a 30-minute lesson if the student commutes to my home for lessons. I will travel to the student’s home for $20 for a 30-minute lesson. Most students do a weekly lesson.
I am flexible if students want other options such as a longer lesson, or every-other-week lessons. I also offer discounts for siblings.
