About Karen
You CAN do math and science!!! I will show you how!!
With a Masters in Education and over a decade of teaching experience, we will succeed together!
I love helping people learn! Watching the light bulb turn on for that "AHA!" moment makes it all worthwhile!
When I was just a young girl as the eldest of four children, I would sit my younger siblings down at their "desks" and play school teacher. My passion for helping others still lives on!
I have a BS in Chemistry with a Math Minor. After college, I earned my Masters in Education and began teaching in the public high school system. I quickly became a National Board Certified Teacher and received many honors. I have also taught at the college level for chemistry labs, pharmacy, nutrition and biology.

If you are looking for some quick help for an upcoming assignment, we can get right to it! If you prefer long-term help then let's start with figuring out your preferred learning styles so we can make the most of your time!
I can help anyone who is willing to learn! I have experience with honors, ESL, special needs students, etc.
When looking for a math or science tutor, it is so important to pick someone that can really relate to you and break problems down so they really make sense! A "highly educated" person doesn't always know how to do that!! Make sure you choose someone who knows their subject matter AND how to explain it to others!
Recently, I began my hobby/side business of breeding snakes! Ask me about it!!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Think about what your goals and needs are. Do you want occasional help with prepping for a test or exam? Do you want ongoing help to really master a subject? Do you learn best by doing or watching? Do you need to practice a lot or do you generally prefer to move on once you've got it?
