About Judy
I teach basic calligraphy for if you don't learn the basic strokes and rules, you most likely will not create good work.
For photography, I again teach the basic rules and composition. I can also work with photoshop.

I want to create art that stimulates the mind, that validates the spirit, and that celebrates the universe and I will use natural materials to do this.
I have taught calligraphy to various classes including YorkTown craft guild,and at Pippi's Pen Shoppe in York, PA
I have taught photography at various workshops ond at OLLI @ Penn State York.
The pure joy of creating! Of taking natural things and creating art with them. I like to help people see possibilities.
I have taught calligraphy workshops for quite a while and also photography workshops. I enjoy working with people and finding out their challenges.

I try to find out what expectations and goals they have. I try to find out their level of expertise. And we go from there. For calligraphy, I teach basic strokes. I can critique work. For photography, I concentrate on the rules of layout and design and subject matter. In photoshop I can edit photos-nothing fancy though.
I taught calligraphy at the York chapter of the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen so those students had a background in art. I have taught classes for Pippi's Pen Shoppe in York, where the number varied from 4 to 6 students.
For photography, I taught at Osher Life Long Learning (OLLI) at Penn State York so they were seniors.

At Hauser Estate winery during the month of June-there were several events. My art was featured during that time-so I was fond of the event!

Details
Depending on where I need to travel or those arrangements will affect my pricing system. Generally, if I don't have to travel far or if client comes here, I charge $20.00 per hour with a first time lesson at $15.00 to see if the client thinks it is a good fit.
