About Michael
I have been using and studying Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom Classic since their inception. I wrote a book on Lightroom 3 a few years ago and was a member of Adobe's Lightroom Beta testing team.
I love teaching new students! I currently offer classes and workshops at the Creative Photo Academy in Torrance and the Los Angeles Center of Photogrpahy in Los Angeles/Culver City. I also taught Photoshop at Cal State Domiguez Hills College of Extended Education.
I am a former Technical Advisor at Nikon, Inc. and have been a photojournalist and commercial photographer for decades.
I have a BFA degree in Photography and Design fron CalArts and have won numerous awards for my photography in international competitions.

I have a BFA in Photography and Design from CalArts. I worked for 12 years as a Technical Advisor for Nikon, Inc. in both their Photography and Digital Imaging divisions. I studied Photoshop, Desktop Publishing and Computer Graphics at UCLA Extension and have been using both Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom since their initial releases. I was a Beta tester for Adobe Lightroom.
In my career I have photographed for newspapers, magazines and books, have done album and DVD covers for major music and comedy artists, and have done marketing photography for a major hotel chain. I have been teaching Photoshop and Lightroom for well over a decade.
