I ask students show me samples of their photos and inqure about their goals and aspirations involving photography.
I will then design a series of lessons and assignments for them to work on.
All levels from beginers to working professionals.
Find someone that is experienced, knowledgable and fun to work with. It's important to review their portfolio as a first step.
I recently hosted a series iof webinars for the employees of a premium stock photo agency on the subject of image post processing.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to clarify in your own mind what it is that you want to create. Creativity is a highly personal endeavor. if you can explain what aspects of your photography you want to improve, that will help jumpstart the process!
