About Lourdes

I started teaching photography since I was in High School, back in 1984.

Its always been my passion! And I love teaching new students how to work closely with people and nature.

I went to L.A.C.C and Glendale college to obtain knowledge about all different camera formats and studio lighting

About the lesson

My process in the beginnig of class is talking about my 35 year experience as a photographer.

Showing them a few samples of my work and the cameras i like to work with.

Then, I also have them talk a little about themselves and their experience.

I have them bring their own cameras to help them understand more about their camera settings.

I've worked with all types of students. Ranging from age 7 to 75. :-)

Look for someone who love their craft! Specially someone who is passionate and willing to spend that extra effort in teaching and getting to know your personality.

The most recent event I've enjoyed is the Eclectic Festival in South Pasadena. Meeting new people and all types of artists.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should look forward to meeting the real person behind that teacher.

Their likes and dislikes.

How long they have been doing their craft and was the biggest challenge in teaching.

Very knowledgeable in all types of photography. I did not know a lot about using film and now I’d rather shoot film than digital. She is an amazing photographer as well. Thank you Bella
