About Sharie

I am an award-winning former military and newspaper photojournalist with a degree in teaching. I love what I do and am thrilled to help others learn and excel ... to live in the moment and captures people’s lives and spirits with a camera. It it so rewarding and my center. I learned from the very best and want to pass that on to others.

iI was the lead instructor of the US Navy Electronic Imaging Program at Combat Camera Pacific. I ran a photojournalism program for youths in Arizona and taught in children in Somalia.

I am a graduate at the US Military Defense Information Journalism and Photojournalism School, worked as a photojournalist for Stars and Stripes, as a Combat Photojournalist at Combat Camera, as well as many newspapers and publications. I have a teaching degree from Ottawa University.

About the lesson

First I find out what type of photography they are interested in, then I craft a program just for them at their pace. Then, it’s one-on-one hands on learning.

I have worked with students from the ages of 7 to 70!

Find a teacher who doesn’t speak all technical ...

I love to photograph most everything ... except war ... I am over it. ;-)

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What kind of photography do they want to do? If I am not best suited, I will let them know.
