About Anton

I am very hands on and will make you think about what you are doing rather than just give you the answer. I have been teachng at the University level since 2007. I also teach profesionals all around the country leading workshops and various conventions and PPA (Professional Photographers of America) schools

I'm a photographer photographing what I love. Musicians, fashion and people in general. I love meeting people and learing about them quickly. Most of the people I photograph have great stories.

I was teaching when I was working at a pro camera store. When customers would ask about things I was usually the go to person. I started lecturing when I was asked by a few organizations to come teach for their school or conference. That led directly into teaching at Universities.

I have a BS with emphasis on photography.

I have taught university level since 2007. I am currently teaching at Middle Tennessee State University

I am pursuing my MFA right now also from Watkins college of art

About the lesson

Depending on what they want to learn and the level they are at it varies. I usually just ask and we go from there. Everything is customizable. I do not like to just tell students what to do though. I guide them to figuring it out for themselves. It is much easier to repeat and learn something if you are actually doing it.

I have worked with all types but generally professionals that are having issues with lighting and just generally have reached a plateau and need to move forward.

Look at their work and see if it resonates with you and then call. Ask questions or meet for coffee with them. You can usually tell if they will be a good teacher. Not all great artists/photographers or whatever make good teachers.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What is the goal. Are you willing to practice and think? Really understand what it is you want to achieve and form those questions before you seek out a mentor.

Weekly lessons. $50 hr (Like a music lesson where you practice each week and continue to grow. I recommend at least committing to one month of lessons.

For professionals I offer personal One on One training and mentoring. I can either come to you or have you come to Nashville. For a six hour day with model it costs $850. These can run longer because I do like to hang out after if you have the time. Click for more details.
