Usually young and inexperienced students with an artistic desire and reasonably good math skills make the best students.
Never select the teacher who trys to impress you with jargon, they will simply spend time inflating their own ego. You want a teache who can understand you most basic starting point and build on it, one concept at a time.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
How far do I want to go with this discipline. Do I want to learn just enough to improve my talent or, do I want professional level, or do I want to become an expert myself?
