About Robert
I graduated with high honors from the Institute of Design and worked as an edutorial illustrative photographer for 20 years. I've been a high-end corporate design professional (identity programs, capability brochures, annual reports) since 1986, owing a very successful design and photo studio with international Fortune 500 clients such as AT&T, BCBS, Siemens, Baxter, and Ameritech. I wrote the training materials for Photoshop, Indesign and more design-related software titles. I taught in BFA programs, and developed MFA programs for design and photo at a prestigious private art college. I currently am involved with fine-art photography, exhibiting in Beijing and Hong Kong, and visual design with partners in Chicago, London, St.Petersburg, and Hong Kong.
I live and breathe design. It's not a career. Photo is just a different set of tools than page design-- both rely on the Language of visual art. I love to teach and give constructive direction and see students react positively. My most rewarding time was teaching college courses and particularly critique days.
