About Matthew

We specialize in portraits. I have photographed fashion shows in New York and am working on starting in a new market. I am willing to help my students achieve the things they would like by learning about using natural light with minimal tools. Which is beneficial to the new photographer. We will start off by learning the basics of a camera and getting more detailed as we go. I will also teach them basic photoshop skills for those interested.

I started off just teaching friends and family the skills I have learned.

I studied at the Ohio State University, where I specialized in portraits and digital manipulation. I eventually moved to NYC where I worked shooting Fashion Shows and I do numerous event style photography depending on the needs of the client.

About the lesson

We will start off learning the basics of a camera. We will slowly work up to learning about more specifics as we go.

I mostly work with beginner students and get them up to a marketable skill level.

Do your research and find someone who appeals to you.

I recently moved out to California and have recently taken on a new student, and it shocked me at his natural ability to see the beauty in people and how willing he was to follow instructions.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Pricing is obviously very important. However I think that even more important is what equipment will you need and what do you want to accomplish in your photography goals.
