About Jason
I am a traveling Portrait and Wedding Photographer, currently based in Cincinnati, OH. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Film & TV Production too, so you could say pictures are my “thing”. I've been shooting photos for 8 years professionally and as a hobby. I've shot for a Pro Football Hall-of-Famer and a CDC Executive and have also been internationally published.
My passion for creating and capturing meaningful images is second only to the joy I get in seeing the connections they make and the smiles they bring. Every factor of a session, from the overall mood down to the tiniest detail is considered with my art. Along with a few guided poses, I aim for a “journalistic” approach to capture the emotional, authentic moments.
Outside of photography, I’m a Saltwater HeartTM - beaches and the ocean call to me, and I will always go surfing given the opportunity. (There is a pronounced deficit of these opportunities in the Midwest.) I have a continued life goal of making a customs officer hunt for enough space to stamp my passport and making my family ask “What’s that?” to the things I return with.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Film & TV Production with an emphasis on Lighting and Cinematography work, which naturally lent itself to Still Photography. I've been working in the Photography Industry for the past 8 years, in a broad range of styles from Architecture, Portraits, Travel, Food, Product, and Nature Photography.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What types of photography interest you is potentially the hardest to pin down, but the most important question to think about. Many of the practices and techniques in photography are universal, but having a teacher with experience in the style of shots you want to take will help you learn much faster.
