About Jason

With over 20 years of coaching from youth leagues, to collage age, including 15 years of high school sports, I pride myself on coaching the mental game that can be used across the board regardless of your sport of choice or any personal endeavor.

As a USA Archery certified Level 3 Coach and multiples time CT state and regional champion with Olympic recurve and compound I will guide you to be prepared for all levels of competition.

I am also an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer that will help you build physical strength as well as applying those strategies to improve mental and emotion health. Mindset is key for success.

I absolutely love coaching in general. Helping people achieve success is my number one priority. I have a no-fail technique that starts with mindset.

I have been coaching, in general, for over 20 years, including 15 years coaching high school soccer and baseball. I coach archers that compete at the local, state, and national level.

About the lesson

For experienced competitive shooters, and those looking to get into competitive archery, I will work with you on the form and mindset for being successful in competitive archery. We will work together to set short term and long term goals. I will introduce you to games you might not be familiar with from associations including USA Archery, NFAA, and more. This will include target archery, field archery, and 3D. Experiencing all forms will strengthen the style you focus on.

For recreational archers just looking for a new hobby or just to experience something new, I will show you how to safely shoot a recurve bow (compound if you have your own) and make sure you have an enjoyable experience while learning to be successful with executing your shot!

Personal training can be done in the comfort of you own home. We will build a program for you. Your success in my number one priority.

Currently coach and direct a local JOAD program that includes recreational archers as well as highly competitive archers that have had success at the state, regional, and national level.

Make sure you have the "right coach", not the "best coach". There needs to be a connection with you and your coach. The most decorated might not be the one that works best with your needs.

Participation in USA Archery Indoor Nationals, as both an athlete and a coach, is an event I always look forward to. This year I had 11 arches that I coach compete. This included 4 attending the event for the first time.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Always be true to yourself. First, ask yourself...is this a hobby or are you looking to be competitive? With all your other responsibilities/activities (school, work, other sports) how much time can you commit? Be honest with your coach so an individual program can be designed for your goals and needs.

For personal training, this is a lifestyle, not a quick fix. A quick fix will make you look good, and even feel better. However, it's been proven over and over they don't stick. Make you wellness a priority or down the road you'll be forced to make you illness a priority.
