About Lauren

I have a dance background in classical ballet, so I naturally gravitated towards dance inspired workouts. I began teaching barre first and then began teaching yoga. I love yoga because it is like a dance, it requires so much strength and at the same time a ton of grace and control to control move in and out different asanas. I love how it makes me feel while I am practices and the empowering refreshed feeling aftwards.

The most rewarding part of teaching yoga is the clients I have met from all walks of life. To see the pains or misfortunes they might come in with be released both mentally and physically is beautiful and humbling.

I am 200hr RYT Yoga Certified. I lived in India for 1 month and studied with some of the best teachers in the world to learn not only asana practicebut also the philosophy and anatomy of yoga and different meditation techniques.

I am also certified in Sound Meditation Massage & Therapy. I use Himilayan Sound bowls to align the chakras for a deep meditative experience. The bowls are also placed on the body for vibration massage/meditation.

About the lesson

I like to get to know the clients personality/health history/current fitness level before moving forward with any lessons.

It's also important that we get along well so you can feel completely comfortable for me to give certain hands-on adjustment if neccessary and of course so you can have a great time while learning a ton!

I have worked with young dancers, moms with 4 or more children and a job, fathers who never get a day off, business men and women who might not be the most open-minded person when they start, strong young women who have been diagnosed with cancer, super healthy fit amazing yogis, troubled teens, divorced wifes... every race, gender and situation you can think of.

And I have become a better teacher and person because of them.

Look for the teacher that loves what they do. That love will translate in the way they teach and pay attention to your specific needs.

It is an absolutely beautiful moment that I have no problem sharing with you one on one. Out of respect for the person in this event I'd rather not put it on my sight.
