Experienced tutor in Painting in Wallingford, Christine offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I discovered Christine about 2 years ago at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan, Ct. I had studied pastel previously but hadn’t touched the medium in several years. I was thrilled to find another pastel teacher but apprehensive. She was and is wonderful. She guided me through the experience of working in the medium again. And, she’s a fount of information on everything from where to purchase colors to surfaces and even framing. She loves to introduce new techniques as well. As a student, she makes you feel respected and that you’re part of the ‘pastel junkie” club, in the best possible way.

Chris is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience painting in oils and pastels. She is very open to whatever the subject you are considering painting and is helpful in critiquing. While she is a true realist, I find her helpful with my abstract approach to pastels.

Chris easily makes each student feel their work has merit. She shares her extensive knowledge of painting through demonstrations. I have benefited from her personal suggestions and critiques.

she is t;he best and attenti e to my every needs or questions as to how to do certain colors and forms she is super

Chris is an extraordinarily hardworking artist & teacher with an especially keen eye for design. She’s totally devoted to the pastel world and I’m so happy to have found my way to her door. Even I improved with her guidance. And Chris is funny as hell.😬

Chris shares her knowledge of painting and drawing with extreme generosity. She taught me how to see and how to draw. She doesn’t expect one to paint in her style but encourages artists to find their own voice. I was a beginner, all those years ago. I am now a professional artist and teacher and much of my success I attribute to Chris.
