About Jodi
My gallery falls under the film production company, Vanillagavé Productions. My husband, Darrin Graham, and I created this company to house our many creative endeavors, including our films and film projects, our writing publications, and our visual arts.
The gallery incarnation was formed in 2008, while later subsumed by the umbrella company in 2012 when the production company was formed.
JDC is part of our visual arts wing and includes some painting instruction for the right students. The qualities we look for in a student is that he or she is down to earth, open minded, and fun-loving with a sense of humor.
I love helping people learn. I enjoy facilitating the creative process, especially for beginners or blocked painters. It's a joy to help open up a world of creativity for myself and others, because it is a symbiotic process.
I became a teacher, because I am a natural instructor who loves to help other people learn new skills and gain knowledge.
I have degrees in Creative Writing, Screenwriting, and Gallery Management.
I won a Teaching Commendation award for my work as an instructor.

I prefer to work with beginners to help them overcome fears of the blank canvass. I aid them in connecting to their creative intuition and creativity.
My process focuses on art as a healing place of honest expression. Although it is not art therapy, it is therapeutic.
I have helped students move from being blocked and denying their talents as artists to being open and allowing the flow of creativity in their lives.
I've worked with adults who were beginners or blocked creatives to help them open up to their inner resources in the worlds of writing, painting, and film.
