About Daleana

Having over five years of experience teaching art at all levels, ages and backgrounds, the most exciting part about guiding students is the emotion that becomes of them when creating ... seeing the "aha" moment of accomplishment, the "I really did that" feeling and truly appreciating the process of learning the arts.

One of my key principles when teaching art is concentrating on enjoying the process. Learning art should be fun and intriguing for all students (from every level). I specialize in acrylic, graphite, pastels, glass painting and acrylic pouring. I have taught over 450 of group classes/private lessons/virtual classes and the best part is making sure everyone receives clear instruction, encouraging open mindedness, and most importantly trusting/loving the process. Check out my Instagram page @Dc_artstudio to see artworks and commission works.

With a Bachelors of Fine Arts and Masters of Arts in Design and Media Management from the Miami international University of Art and Design, I've had traditional art education along with collaborating side by side with active local artists from all over the world. For the past five years I've dedicated my services teaching art in art parties/gatherings, private art lessons and virtual online classes. Apart from adult/senior classes I've taught many kids classes and currently tutoring portofolio development classes to middle school and high school students for art schools applications.

About the lesson

First we talk about their artistic goals and techniques desired to learn. Based off of that information, we create a plan/schedule accordingly so we can maximize the experience and also learning abilities for the calls desired. I first like to go through basics with color theory, application techniques, And work our way up to the next process. All of this is discussed with the client and once we agree on the plan we can start from there.

From all ages, levels and backgrounds. My primary experience is teaching beginner and intermediate levels.
