I give them a quick background of how I got started with abstract and acrylic painting. For Acrylic Pour, I show them different examples of finished work I've done, so they can choose which technique they'd like to learn. Then I give them step by step instructions as they mix their paint, prep their canvas, how to do the technique they've chosen and give loose direction on how to tilt the canvas to get the effect they desire. Once they start tilting the canvas I like to take a little hands off approach to allow their creativity to flow. I'm always right there ready to help if they have questions or need a little more guidance.
