About Sara

With a combined 15 years of teaching experience, Carlos (Charly) and I (Sara) work together to provide the best and most effective classes for students. We always start with identifying a SMART goal and creating an action plan for each student.

While I focus on English language instruction and communicative practice activities, Charly provides conversation practice, pronunciation correction, and explanation in Spanish for an immersion experience. Students can choose to work with one, or both, of us. When students work with both of us, we coordinate their lesson plans to make sure they are practicing what they are studying.

We both provide online classes via Zoom for private students, and create self-paced courses for independent study online. You can see our current offerings and engage in free practice and listening activities on our website: (concealed information)

What we enjoy most about teaching Spanish is helping our students reach their goals and finding/creating the content that they need in order to do it as efficiently and realistically as possible.

(Sara) I began teaching 8 years ago in bilingual schools in Mexico. I moved to teaching online and Spanish over 5 years ago.

(Charly) I began teaching foreigners that come to Veracruz in language institutes and universities 5 years ago and started teaching online as well in 2018.

About the lesson

We provide a complimentary meet and greet for students who purchase lessons with us. This let's them ask questions, see how Zoom works and meet both of us if they are undecided on who to take lessons with. We can also do a level test at this point and identify the students goal.

We both work with students ages 10 and up.

To think about the reason they want to learn Spanish and to focus on their objective. Otherwise, it can be overwelming with the amount of information available.

When they have a goal and plan in place, they need to stick with it and make it a daily habit.

(Sara) One of my students just completed 3 years of lessons with me. She loves cooking so I surprised her with a Spanish language cookbook to celebrate her anniversary and she loved it.

(Charly) My first online student, who still takes classes with me, just completed her DELE A2 exam and is now preparing for the B1 level.
