About Thomas

I am a professional French actor based in London.

Before that, I trained academically and vocationally, obtaining a First Class Honours degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.
This gives me a combination of both theory and hands-on teaching.

I have also been a teaching assistant at Hartford Highschool, in Northwich, covering French, English literature, and English language classes. I also tutored students throughout my University years.

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Thomas and I have been tutoring privately for over 4 years.
I am originally French but have spent the last five years in the UK, completing a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing, and a 2-year accredited course in Professional Acting.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?

I teach French to students of all ages and all levels, whether the focus is for academic purposes, leisure, or employment. I also teach English Literature from GCSE’s to University, and Drama School Audition Technique.

- What are your qualifications?

I was born in France, I have a French Scientific Baccalaureat, as well as a First Class BA in English Literature and Creative Writing. I also trained at Drama Studio London on the 2-year course in Professional Acting.

- Where do you teach?

I am based in East London, in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Newham (Bromley-By-Bow / Bow). I am happy to try and find an arrangement if you’re located far from those areas.

- How much do you charge?

£35 per hour.

- What is your availability?

All week, 9am-8pm, but some of my students book their slot in advance.

- Which qualifications do you specialise in?

I can prepare students for all French-related exams and degrees (GSCE, A levels, University, job interviews)
I teach English Literature from GSCE to University.
I also teach Drama School Audition Technique.

- What can your students expect from you?

Learning a language is one of the hardest yet most rewarding experiences out there. I can adapt to your need, whether you want to start from scratch, brush up on your skills, or have a very specific objective (exams, job, holidays etc.). I can also work with you on a one-off or weekly basis.

My teaching is based on your learning style and individual needs. I adapt from the first lesson, depending on whether you require a more academic or interactive approach. I assess your starting point and take into consideration what you want to achieve and how fast you wish to get there. My classes are fun, energetic and thorough.

In exchange, I expect you to focus during the sessions, and to do your homework if applicable.
