About Vibha

I have a genuine love for helping others, which is why I went into nursing! That love for helping extends beyond the bedside; I've found that tutoring others in nursing is so fulfilling to me because I am passionate about my career and want future nurses to be passionate about it too.

I enjoy seeing that "lightbulb moment" in my students when they learn a concept they've been struggling with. I love seeing my students develop confidence in their abilities.

My first experience with teaching was as a dance instructor (which I still do!). I realized that I loved teaching and watching progress in my students. I wanted to take that outside of the world of dance so I began working at a math tutoring center all through my years in high school. During college, I worked for an online tutoring platform where tutors helped Korean professionals with their English speaking skills. After I became a nurse I knew that I wanted to help other nursing students because I knew firsthand how difficult the nursing curriculum is.

I received my BSN from the University of Michigan.
I passed the NCLEX on my first attempt in 75 questions.
I've been an RN for 2 years and I have experience in both adults and pediatrics.
I've been tutoring students for over 5 years in many different subjects.

About the lesson

I like to give a little bit of background about myself and then ask my students to introduce themselves too. I want the tutoring session to be a comfortable and safe space. I then ask my students about their typical learning style and if their current study techniques have been working for them. I personalize everything I teach in a session because no one student is the same as another.

I've worked with children as young as 4 years old and professional adults who are older than I am! I've worked with students needing tutoring in many subjects, such as: math, English, science, standardized testing, nursing, and the NCLEX.

I would recommend that students pay attention to the credentials of their tutor and also make sure that you mesh well with your tutor during a lesson otherwise it won't be a good match and won't be beneficial for the student.
