About Ebonee
I studied Biology and Business at Arizona State University before becoming a teacher’s aide, where I discovered how much I care about helping students who feel overlooked or discouraged. I’ve spent about nine years tutoring on and off, beginning at age fifteen when I was asked to support my peers in gifted and talented programs. After earning a perfect score on the ACT, I expanded my tutoring to students from kindergarten through high school, especially those preparing for major exams.
My classroom experience is one of my biggest strengths. I've worked in schools for several years and hold a Teacher's Aide Certificate, which has allowed me to support instruction directly in real time. Instead of lecturing from the front of the room, I work one on one with students during class, gauging their understanding, identifying gaps, and helping them build confidence through individualized support. This perspective gives me a strong sense of how different learners process information and what they need to succeed.
As someone who personally navigates ADHD and mental health challenges, I understand how overwhelming school can feel. My approach is holistic, patient, and grounded in empathy. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts, building routines that work for each student's brain, and celebrating progress no matter how small. Whether I'm helping an elementary student strengthen foundational skills or guiding a high schooler toward a higher ACT score, my goal is always the same: to make learning feel possible again.
