Very good Teacher

I hired Mr. Sweet for mandolin lessons after hearing him play Celtic music at the Celtic Heels School of Dance in Greenfield, MA about 7 or 8 years ago. Since then, I've joined his Celtic Group Class and the Springfield Mandolin Orchestra. He's taught me to play and read the treble clef, the alto clef. I can also play bluegrass, celtic and klezmer music. It's a lot of fun!

The thing I like most about taking lessons with Mr. Sweet is how much you learn; it's a holistic approach to music. You get the whole picture: history, theory, related material, and the instrument itself, not just how to hold it and play it, but play it beautifully with a focus on tone and expression.

I am an aspiring violin student of Adam Sweet. In a year and a half I have learned to read and have developed a deep appreciation for Irish music. Thanks to Adam it has been fun and very rewarding in that I am now ready to purchase that perfect violin that suits my expectations as I continue to invest in my endeavor.
