About Kaziah
Kaziah White is 27 years old and a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV (B.A. Music) and Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music in Syracuse, NY (M.M. Composition). Kaziah has been playing clarinet since 2002, composing since 2009, teaching private lessons since 2011, and conducting since 2012.
I offer one, free, half-hour consultation lesson for all students; then, if they wish to continue, we arrange a regular schedule and payment plan.

Any new student wants to know what they're going to get out of the lesson experience. As a teacher, I want to know what motivates and encourages the student to do well.
I try to learn what I can do to help each of those wishes to be met. For the student, I will walk them through a typical lesson structure/schedule for them to get used to how each meeting will go and what the goalsn and expectations are of me and should be of themselves. For me, I will be asking pertinent questions about how they approach their craft, what inspires them, how help foster and encourage a supportive environment around their art.
Once that has been established, it's a continually evolving process with its own tasks and challenges, each very different from student to student.
