About Erick
I have 15 years of music teaching experience and I have learned how to explain what seems "complicated" in the most effective and simple manner. My philosophy is that music must make us happy. We have to enjoy the process of learning, practicing, and performing music. It it's not fun it's not going to work for the student or the audience. I keep an inner child alive whenever I play and teach because it is my way to channel the purest feelings through my fingers and my instrument.
I learned classical music with teachers in music conservatories parallel to my own "by ear method" playing dozens of pop songs from the radio. That means that I am very flexible when it comes to teaching methods. I am happy teaching popular songs along with what's called "the traditional piano books." I'm not a purist. I love Beethoven's music as much as Maroon 5's music. It's all beautiful to me. I can teach piano, guitar, music theory, music recording and production, and composition.
