About Dave

As a former - Semi Pro Baseball Player, Professional Softball Player, 2 Time High School All American, and over 30 years of successful coaching experience, I thoroughly enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for the games of Softball and Baseball with the next generation of athletes! I view the game as an instrument that will help instill confidence and build strong character in children that will directly impact their families and communities well beyond the playing field.

Many have borrowed my philosophy of, "Increased Self-Esteem Through Athletic Accomplishment", but I actually live this daily as well as teach it daily.

I know how important it is as an athlete to learn and refine the fundamentals of baseball and softball that build a stable foundation to perform at your highest ability. I take the time to break down each drill and explain why this skill or method is essential. With explaining "why" it empowers the athlete with the knowledge to then take their game to the next level.

Baseball/Softball players of all ages and abilities are welcomed in my program. The results experienced by my members reinforce my belief in the comprehensive instructional process that I teach. I am confident that those who show enough hard work and dedication will excel in sports and in life!

It is my goal to offer the best combination of instructiona and fun in a quality environment iwth the best prices in the area. I use brand new- Major League netted hitting cages as well as new machines in an ultra clean high quality AstroTurf field facility. All equipment is on site that is needed to teac proper hitting, fielding, and speed/conditioning techniques.

I derive much enjoyment from watching the athletes achieve success in my academy and on the field with the lessons I teach. I had a boys 18u team from the inner city of Pittsburgh, PA where we competed 3 years at PNC Park in the Mayors Cup. They not only achieved Championship Rank, but the Sportsmanship Award as well!! I have also trained and taken numerous girls teams to the ASA National Qualifier Tournaments over the past 10 years. The smiles on their faces, the way they carry themselves with pride and self confidence.... this is where I get the most enjoyment!!

About the lesson

Muscle strengthening lessons offered by Dave are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Carnegie. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
