About

My passion is to aid and equip students to excel in their academic endeavors by providing one-on-one mathematical assistance.

I have had the opportunity to teach and tutor multiple students for over six years in both public and private school arrangements via online sessions and in person.

Beyond enabling students to simply "get by" or "make it through" a class, our aim is to build mathematical skills and develop students' understanding of simple and complex processes to promote academic excellence.

I love teaching in a variety of capacities, and it is always a joy to see my students grow and develop in their work.

Building relationships with students and watching them begin to excel is incredibly rewarding!

I was asked by a family to teach algebra classes for their teenage twin daughters, who were Juniors at the time. After that first year for Algebra 1, the family was very pleased with the girls' academic performance and requested my services to teach them Algebra 2 the following school year. In the next few years, I continued with the family to teach both of their younger sons in Algebra 1 and 2.

My training in this field has been hands-on from day one. I started teaching algebra for a few private students shortly after graduating high school, and continued to teach multiple algebra students over the next 5 years.

About the lesson

Building rapport and understanding exactly where new students are academically and where they need assistance is critical to developing a good student/teacher relationship.
Once we've established a basis for where their strengths and weaknesses lie, my goal is to come alongside and aid them in building their strong points while focusing extra attention on the weaker areas to encourage excellent performance.

Most of my students have been from a homeschool or private background, with a few exceptions from public education.

Find a tutor who understands you and listens to what you need help with while pushing you to become the best student you can be. Do not be afraid to tell them how you are struggling and what you don't understand; they are there to come alongside you and build your comprehension in any areas that are lacking.
