About
My favorite thing to teach is Math and I love to inspire others to enjoy it as much as I do! I have several years of experience in teaching and tutoring and will devote as much time as needed to ensure that a student understands the "why" and not just the "what" of equations and methods. As a previous engineer, I always found that understanding the derivation of a method was the best foundation to build more knowledge without just resorting to memorization or notes. I will break down the problems and encourage the practice that makes math easy for anyone, always taking into account what type of learning works best for you! I especially enjoy teaching the subjects leading up to and including pre-calculus as these are the essential foundation for future success in calculus, differential equations, linear algebra and more! I also have experience in SAT prep and effective strategies to raise a score quickly!
