About Alyssa

I'm the child of a 4th grade teacher.

I learned that while teaching is difficult it is one of the most rewarding professions. Helping others learn is my purpose

I have a B.S. in Mathematics.

Experience tutoring and helped student from grades K-12 to College student excel in academics.

About the lesson

First id like to find out as much as you can about the student and their problem before we meet. Id also ask them to send me information about the current book they are using and encourage them to bring all relevant course materials along with them. Id then make sure the student is at ease and I plan to make things as interesting and fun as possible. After our first meeting if more sessions are needed I will create a study plan taylor to the learning needs of the student.

I have worked with K-12 students as well as College students.

I would suggest that the student reaches out and at least schedules a phone call to speak to the teacher about his or her needs to make sure they are a good fit.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students need to know if they want short term help with a quick solution or if they would like something continuous. If continuous the student needs to know what length of time per session and how many days per week will be needed. The student also need to know their budget.
