About Alexis
I am very passionate for teaching and the subjects that I teach. I have helped many of my peers in their college courses, as well as my previous years in high school. I have developed a strong passion for biology, chemistry, and math that I am eager to instill in others.
I was in a very rigorous program in high school called the International Baccalaureate program. I was very successful in the program and it granted me 30 credits coming into my first year of college. I also have been successful in the courses I have completed thus far in college.

I begin by trying to understand how the student learns (visually, auditory, hands-on). I then develop teaching skills that best suite the student. I try to get them to truly absorb and retain the information I am teaching.
I have mainly worked with my peers and fellow classmates. I am currently tutoring a friend who is learning content that I learned last semester.
