About Serenity
My tutoring facilitates individual student learning. I want students to think about math in ways they can understand. Learning formulas is only half the job- application of math is the objective. I want my students to understand math and be able to apply it, avoiding the question of "Why do I need to know this".
I enjoy seeing the "Ah-Ha" moment. The moment when a student is struggling with a topic, working at it, and finally understanding it.
I am in my junior year of my bachelor's degree at Arizona State University. My major is Mathematics and Secondary Education. I also have interned at a middle school and substituted in a math class suited for grades 6-12.
