About Sydney

I am a college student with experiencing tutoring people in general studies, math, English, history, and science at an elementary or middle school level. I have tutored a few high school students as well. I have a strong academic background and graduated at the top of my high school class with a 4.6 GPA and excellent test scores. I was a National Merit Finalist and an AP Scholar with distinction, meaning that I have developed some great learning strategies and skills over the years.

I have a talent for relating to my students and helping them work through new material, organization, and general studying. I have fairly flexible hours and I cannot wait to help more students find their way through school. I am passionate about helping my students to reach their full potential.

LinkedIn: (concealed information)

While I was still in high school, I realized that I had a knack for helping my classmates to understand their material and learn better organization skills. I started tutoring some classmates in various subjects, and it just grew from there.

I have been an excellent student throughout my schooling career. I have consistently been at the top of my class and have learned quite a few valuable skills along the way. I do not have any formal tutoring training, but I do have experience with a wide range of students.

About the lesson

I like to first determine the new student's style of learning, potential academic roadblocks, and passions. I believe in connecting with the student and focusing on what can drive them to succeed. I have worked with a variety of students in different age groups and settings, and I believe that this experience has helped me to develop strategies for success. After learning their passions and motivations, I work with the student on figuring out what their goals are and developing a plan to achieve them.

I have worked with high school students and elementary school students on a range of subjects, but mostly focusing on general study skills, organization, and getting caught up in their classes. I also work with them to find their motivation and help them reach their goals.
