About Rebekah
I love science, English and math. I have a bachelor's in geology cuz rocks rocks, lol. I love to study and learn, no matter the topic.
I love learning and helping others learn.
I've been helping others understand their schoolwork since I was in 7th grade. Teaching and tutoring has been a passion of mine for a long time.
I have a B.S. in Geology, which included various science and math classes. In high school, I passed Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra, Statistics), Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and English (Brittish Literature, British Writing, American Literature, American Writing, Essay & College prep) all with straight A's.
I've been a store manager (Gamestop), an assistant manager (Gamestop) and a trainer/Supervisor (Gamestop, Target, Harbor Freight, Claire's, Horizon Mud Logging LLC) since 2007. Im currently in a supervisory role at Harbor Freight. I train my employees well, and have had several of my hires go on to become management themselves.

We discuss the areas of difficulty & what the goals are. I ask about how the student learns new material. We formulate an individualized plan and get to work.
I have worked with a few people who learn differently. I have worked with lbgtq+ people. I have worked with people who struggle to focus. I have worked with children as young as 8 through adults in their 40s.
Be open about what you need. Expect it to take time. Practice and give it your best try. Any improvement is progess.
I learned that someone I knew was struggling with math. After some investigation, I found out that this person learns easiest via rhythm and motion, and was struggling with memorizing trigonometry formulas. I found some catchy math songs on you tube and helped them remember the formulas needed.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Where is the problem? Do you grasp the concepts but can't memorize? Can you memorize easily but the concepts allude you? Do you learn differently than your peers? Do you lose focus or struggle to concentrate? Is there anything happening outside of this class that makes learning difficult for you?
