Peter:

I'm an experienced mathematics tutor.

I have a degree in mathematics from University of California at Santa Cruz and I teach statistical reasoning there fall quarter.

I have been tutoring for about eight years. I have experience working with a range of students from from students who are struggling or have learning disabilities, to students looking for advanced material or math olympiad training, and I have worked with students from elementary school to college undergraduate level. I specialize in working with students that have developed math anxiety or are having challenges in math.

Jack:

I am a junior at University of California at Santa Cruz, where I also tutor mathematics and physics.

I have been tutoring for about 5 years. I have experience tutoring students struggling or needing more challenging work.

We offer a free intro session via Zoom (30 minutes) to see if there is a good match. And we are always happy to answer any questions you have, thank you!

I started teaching when I was a student and the first course I taught was computer programming.

I have a degree in mathematics and 30 years experience in applied mathematics.

About the lesson

I review students goals and current chalenges, establish a plan for success, and spend some time getting to know their work style and interests.

I offer a no fee meeting with parents and student to kick things off 15-30 minutes via Zoom. We discuss objectives and do a few math problems together.

All ages and all abilities including students with math anxiety and those seeking advanced topics and challenge problems.

All three of my sons are currently in college!
