About Boo
There is nothing more amazing than empowering someone so that learning becomes easier for them.
My name is Boo Fuqua and I've been a tutor/teacher since the 1980's. I have a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math, an MS in Chemistry and PhD in Biochemistry. I have taught at the middle school, high school, college and university level.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you to overcome whatever challenges you. I have had great success with students who have learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD and Tourettes, as well as students who are in gifted programs.

Perfect! We found Boo on this website after shopping around to find someone to help my daughter prepare for her ACT test in a two week period. It was crucial that we raised her score by at least two points and other places/tutors told us that it was not possible as the time period before the test was too short. Boo was undaunted by the challenge however and worked with my daughter in 4, 2hr sessions and we are proud to say she moved up by two points and now has a competitive score! Thank you Boo for believing in her and for delivering the points desired!
