About Cristina

Hello Students!

I am excited to be here as your resource and tutoring guru to advance you to your next step! I have experience as a classroom teacher and tutor, working for a Premier Tutoring company (included: SAT preparation, SAT Subject, ACT preparation, PSAT preparation). One of my key strengths in helping students master the test-taking process through a strategic approach that will allow you to see beyond tricky questions, apply your full knowledge and succeed! I currently hold a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley and love to challenge my students so they too can attend their dream college. I was a member of my high school Academic Decathlon team and won medals up until State finals (subjects: Art, Economics, Language and Literature, Math, Music, Science, Social Science, Essay, Interview, Speech). In high school, I also completed, passed and tutored in many Honors and Advanced Placement courses (including: AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics B, AP Biology, AP English Language, AP French, AP World History, AP US History). I have mentored and worked with Elementary and Middle School students and continue to do so today in my free time. For High School and College/University students, I also focus on mastery of the following topics: Interviews, Job applications, Resumes, Cover letters, Business etiquette, Competitions.

In addition to guidance on classwork and standardized exams, I am always available for any academic or professional advice. Never be shy to ask questions, because the inquisitive mind works wonders. One of the most rewarding aspects of being here to help tutor my students is being able to help you get one step closer to your target school and the career that would make you most happy. I have a lot of experience in helping with essays for scholarships, college applications, or even cover letters and resumes, and tons of experience in student leadership roles and extracurricular activities throughout high school, college, and my current professional life, so feel free to reach out!

I am currently accepting students and am available M-Th evenings and F-Sun anytime. We can work around your schedule to meet your needs and go from there!
