About April
Hi, my name is April, and I am a recent graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. I moved to Richmond earlier this year to work as a Software Developer Consultant in order to help people. I have always been passionate about teaching; I was a Teaching Assistant for the Intro to Java course while I was in college. I love helping others learn and understand what they are doing. I firmly believe that having an engaging teacher makes a world of difference in how a student learns, so I hope I can have a positive impact on people through tutoring.
I love helping people understand and get excited about what they are learning. When I was in high school, I remember learning the most in the classes where it was obvious that the teacher was excited about my learning. I want to make people feel accomplished and smart while tutoring.
