About Jeffrey

A long-standing tutor, I enjoy helping others, especially in the sciences and math. I am a recent graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. I am excited to start tutoring regularly again. I enjoy working with students from all different backgrounds (typically middle school and older). I tutored students in college, high school, middle school, GED, and older adults returning to school.

I tutored on behalf of the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University in premedical classes, mathematics, economics, and statistics. I am an alumnus of both schools.

I am happy to tutor for the MCAT in Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems (scored in the 99th percentile) and Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems (scored in the 97thpercentile). I also received 5's in AP Physics C in both mechanics and E&M exams.

I was a Statistics Teaching Assistant for three years as an undergrad at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

>I am dyslexic and was reliant on tutoring throughout elementary and middle school. Thankfully, I received help early and started having academic success in honors and AP classes in high school. I found out in college that I love to teach after becoming a tutor at the University of Michigan in the Ross School of Business for undergraduate and MBA students and the Ross Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

I previously worked as a tutor for the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University in the premedical, mathematics, statistics, and economics courses. As a university tutor, I worked with premedical students, MBA students, and athletes.

About the lesson

I prefer that students send me subject topics, practice problems, and solutions (if possible) ahead of time to prepare a lesson plan.

I have worked with students of all ages, typically high school, college, and older adults.

A tutor should initiate a discussion before any sessions with the student or parent about expectations, such as schedule, material, and content/problem review.

I grew up wrestling, and I am lucky enough to help out on the medical staff with the Alleghany County High School Wrestling tournament for the last few years.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should use past problem sets. Problems are the best way to figure out what areas of strength and weakness you have. Also, in the sciences and statistics, topics build off each other, and it may take a step back to reviewing past material first to move forward to succeed!
