About Simi

Through the years, I have realized it is easier to help students by first getting to know them and what types of concepts are difficult for them to grasp . When I sit down to do a problem set with a student, I try to notice patterns regarding what a student is struggling with the most. Is it the set up of the equation, understanding what the word problem is asking, not knowing where to start, and etc. By working with me, students can acknowledge their weaknesses and I will diligently work to help them build confidence in their ability to tackle math problems.

I enjoy helping students realize that they can acheive their goals with some hard work and patience. It can be a real let down to feel like you are not capable of doing something when you know you can, but you just need a little guidance. Sometimes a little bit of help and an outside perspective can do the trick.

I have an B.S. degree in Biology and I am going to dental school right now. I have tutored students throughout my high school years and college years in a variety of subjects.

I tend to work with K-12 students.

I would tell a students to list out what they want in a tutor and try to find that meets most of your criteria. You are paying for this service, therefore you should pay for what YOU want.

Something I recently watched was "Graduate Together: America Honors the High School Class of 2020". My brother graduated from high school this year and it was a great event to recognized the achievements of the Class of 2020.
