About Michelle
Hello! I'm a passionate tutor with experience working with K-12 and college students. I've tutored in subjects ranging from math and science to English literature. My approach to teaching is tailored to each student's needs, whether that means using games and activities to make learning fun or providing specific homework assignments to target areas of difficulty. I particularly enjoy teaching chemistry and have experience working with lab-related concepts.
I've been tutoring on and off since high school, including volunteering as a teacher overseas and teaching origami to K-12 students. I'm currently tutoring three students, including an international student with a focus on improving his English-speaking skills. One of my biggest success stories has been seeing this student's progress in school, where he is now speaking more and socializing with classmates without a translating app.
While I do not hold a college degree, I have a GED and completed coursework in pre-pharmacy at Rutgers University. I'm committed to helping students succeed and am always eager to learn and grow as a tutor.
