About Fernando
My name is Fernando Garcia. I live in Sothern California. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. I've always had a propensity for learning math including Algebra, Calculus, and Accounting. Through tutoring friends I realized that I was good at transfering the methods I used to learn to others. I playing guitar and talking about sports, particularly baseball, and like creating a stress-free environment when it comes to learning.
I love the "Aha!" moment when a student learns something they previously had issues with. I recognize students as individuals, so I enjoy assessing the way they learn and determine the best way for them to approach a problem.

I typically like being down to earth and create an easygoing atmosphere for the student to be in the best mindset to solve a problem. I've realized, that many times a student is capable of learning the subject matter well, but limits him or herself by stressing out and clogging the mind which leads to giving up when presented with more difficult information. I try to assess if this is the case by inquiring about their past test experiences both good and bad. Lastly, I make digestible methods to learn and remember information to help in both memorization and critical thinking questions..
