About Ankit

As a student, I always wanted to learn the bare bones of any topic I was supposed to learn. In a conventional class environment I wasn't always able to do that. So, it was either everything or nothing for me conceptwise. I have spent hours researching on youtube and google and books to learn concepts on my own and make sure I know why I am doing what I am doing. A few recommendation letters from my Calculus professors could testify that I was perhaps in their top 1% of best performing students. That allowed me to be a part of my College's honors program.

As an aspiring Pilot, once I started my Pilot training, it was required that I learn and know everything there was to flying and so knowing details was right up my alley. Now that I am am training to become a certified flight instructor, I bring this mentality to teaching as well. Throughout my Calculus days in college, I spent hours not only practicing but also teaching/helping my peers who needed help with concepts, and I became a figurative "youtube/google" for them. I truly believe that teaching also helps you learn better and so there is a touch of personal gain as well. I truly like Math and think it is a wonderful tool for any one with an Engineering background like me.

I will try my best to lay everything that I know on the table in order to help you understand the concepts of Math well.

Currently at the end of my training to become a certified flight instructor. It requires a "Fundamental of Instructing" test that I will be taking soon along with "Flight instructor airplane" written test.

I am in my final semester of Graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation through the college of Engieering at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

About the lesson

Ask them what their goal is. And quiz them on how much they already know. Some students only want to learn what they need to know for passing. Others want to learn the concepts. I tend to explain the concepts in most simple format so that it fits both purposes.

Mostly peers.

I started tutoring but then I had to move for my college and got busy.

I have taught topics as a part of my training to my instructor. I have taught a few real flight students as well. However, this will go up once I complete my certification and I plan to do it for at least a year and a half.

Look for someone who teaches you the concept. Propbably starts with the student themsleves - try to learn the concepts, not just pass. And ask difficult questions.

None so far this year, but I am/was looking forward to the NBA finals, Tennis grand slams and Top Gun: Maverick movie.
