About Parul

I provide an engaging and interactive style of teaching that will foster encouragement as well as a new approach to mathematics. My aim is to expand student horizons by helping them see mathematics as an interesting and time-worthy subject through my teaching method.

I am a current 17 year old student in high school, doing the IB Diploma - one of the most rigorous high school diplomas available for students. My higher level subjects are Physics, Computer Science, and Mathematics Analysis and Approaches.

These subjects show how comfortable I am teaching mathematics, and my grade attained currently is the highest available (7/7).

I have my IGCSE (which was the previous exam board done by grades 9 and 10) results that were a level 9 in mathematics. Level 9 is the highest level that can be achieved once again.

Also, in overall academic performance, I received an award for excellence due to my grades during the IGCSE course.

I began tutoring through the tutoring service I had founded in school. I am also a leader of the maths extension club at school through which I teach advanced students mathematics once a week as well. Although, prior to this, I would teach refugees at school too.

Since I am still in high school, I do not have any formal training with regards to tutoring although from all the feedback I have received during informal tutoring sessions, I can confidently say that any student who works with me should definitely benefit from our sessions since I will do my best to ensure of their improvement and interest in mathematics.

About the lesson

I gauge the students skills after working through a few initial questions to try and understand their methods of deduction and how they approach mathematics.

I then use this knowledge to tailor future sessions and make sure that my teaching style caters exactly to their needs.

I have worked with students of all capabilities, and am very comfortable with ensuring my pace, teaching method, and resources all fit perfectly for each individual student.

Details

I will offer the first lesson as a "trial lesson" for half the price of the standard fee, all lessons that follow will be charged a standard reoccuring price. I will also try and make sure lessons are as flexible as possible for students, and this can be coordinated easily on my behalf.
