About Jacob

I am a 16 year old straight A+ student as a junior at Canyon High School. I am a very Intelligent, Caring, and a great friend. I have always loved helping people with their homework or projects. Things I will do to help other students achieve their goals is I will analyze what helps them understand, remember, and execute on homework, quizzes, or tests and use that during our sessions. My experience as a tutor for 1 year was actually a sophomore at canyon high school where I would have 20+ people come by and have me help them with either their subject or just homework in general. I'm normally at the canyon high school library but I travel around for any condition or student. My rank in high school is 15 out of 756 students. Now note to student I will not do the homework for you but I will help you.

I had a friend tell me he needed help with a project and this is where I grew a love for using my intelligence to good use and I grew my own tutoring businesses.

I am a junior in high school and I have tutored for 1 year at my school library. And I have tutored grades Kindergarten through 10th grade at the time.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student is I like to create a friendship on the first day and analyze what his strengths/weaknesses are, find out what makes them focus and remember better. I also bring prizes for the right age group that I work with. For example Kinder - 8th grade will get a prize age appropriate. I will also explain to the student what helped me in school and why I became so successful in my grades

I have worked with students with autism, emotional problems, and grades that range from kinder to 10th grade

Don't stress out and if you don't understand what we are talking about please feel free to let us know and don't lie if we ask you. We can't help you if we don't know that we are not teaching in your feild.

My most exciting and favorite event was actually just normal tutoring sessions. I love the bond and friendships that I grow with the students.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. Explain to them you are struggling and don't be shy

2. Let the teacher come up with a solution

3. If I'm a uncomfortable position in the classroom or in a distracting place such as a window or a group of friends that like to chat with you instead of helping you learn. Ask to move somewhere else

I will charge $35 per hour if tutoring session requires more than 2 subjects. I will charge only $20 per hour if under two subjects are needed.
