About Armando

As a high school student and older brother I'm effective at helping students understand tricky concepts because it's what I've been doing for years now. I'm lucky enough to have been among those who have had math and physics come easily to them and so I've always been the one my friends and sister go to for help. Additionally, throughout my high school career at West Shore I have maintained a 3.94 unweighted GPA, 4.45 weighted GPA, have been named a National AP Scholar and AP Scholar with distinction, and currently am Senior Class Vice President. My experience tutoring friends and family paired with my high school accomplishments give me the understanding and ability to tutor effectively.

I enjoy most seeing the results that tutoring brings. A lot of times students dislike mathematics and physics because it's not easy for them to comprehend the material, which isn't necessarily their fault. There are a lot of distractions in the typical classroom setting and it's hard for teachers to simultaneously cater to each of the different student's needs and learning types. Alternatively, tutoring is so personal which makes it is easy to address specific questions students have and explain the answers in a way that will enhance their understanding, making the learning proccess much more enjoyable for students.
