About Fatima

I am currently finishing up my 4th year at the University of Virginia. I'm working towards a B.S. in Biochemistry, and my overall GPA is a 3.98. I took my MCAT in January of 2020 and scored a 522 (99th percentile) with a score breakdown of 131/130/132/129.

I've taken multiple courses in chemistry, biology, and physics. Some of these courses include organic chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, physics, and physical chemistry.

I want to help other students tackle the MCAT and become well-versed in their course subjects. If you are interested in being tutored for your MCAT or your science course, please feel free to message me!

I love teaching and helping students not only understand difficult concepts but also develop a love for the subject. Teaching is about helping students recognize their capabilities in order for them to succeed.

I began formal tutoring by helping my friends in upper-level courses.

I have experience tutoring students for the MCAT across all sections. I have also recently just taken my own exam, so I am very familiar with the content and test format.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, I like to establish what the student's goals are and what methods work best for them. Everyone learns differently and it is important to help each student reach their own potential.

I have experience tutoring primarily college students taking science courses or the MCAT.

I would advise students looking for an MCAT tutor to first begin independent study. Tutors are great tools to explain difficult concepts and help you walk through practice problems, but tutroing sessions can be time-consuming and can cost $100+/hr depending on the tutor or company. I'm genuinely interested in seeing students excel, so I would advise to use tutors only as supplements.
