About Emily
My formal tutoring experience is a few months of tutoring a 6th grader in all her subjects.
This summer I also worked as a nanny for 2 kids ages 4 and 7 and we worked on their summer workbooks preparing them for kinder and 2nd grade.
My informal experience is helping classmates and other students understand the material that they were struggling with.
I love working with kids and helping them understand the beautiful world of Math and Science. Math is so incredible and useful and I love helping others learn the beauty of it.
I got started because my friend was tutoring some kids and got an offer from another one and she couldn't take on another child so she thought of me and connected us. Some other jobs started as a nanny job and I also helped the kids with workbooks and homework.
I recently graduated college with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Mathematics and Applied Science. I am looking for an afternoon or weekend job and would love to be able to help in any way I can!
